All Stars Will Shine at Lernerville and Sharon This Weekend

The stars will be coming out this weekend, and they’ll be shining on two legendary facilities as Tony Stewart’s Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions Sprint Cars take their tour through the western PA/Eastern OH region making stops at Lernerville Speedway on Friday night followed by a night at Sharon Speedway on Saturday.  The stacked lineup making it’s way to the area includes plenty of firepower and will give fans in attendance their monies worth and then some perhaps as they headline two nights of action with $5,000 on the line each night.

Shaffer Comes In Hot

The “Steel City Outlaw” Tim Shaffer comes into the Friday night red hot on the heels of his recent $100,000 victory last Saturday at the Sprint Car World Championships at Mansfield Motor Speedway and has already collected two All Star wins thus far in 2018. He’ll be joined by series points leader and defending series champion Chad Kemenah and Texas based pilot Aaron Reutzel, who was very close to victory himself last Saturday night as the two swapped the lead in the final laps. Also in attendance will be “The Wild Child”,  Jac Haudenschild who tends to keep fans on the edge of their seats on virtually every lap.

Wagner and Abreu Will Be Ones To Watch

In 2017, it was central Pennsylvania driver Logan Wagner who invaded and took home the $5,000 novelty check as he fended off Danny Holtgraver to take his first career All Star victory at Lernerville. Wagner is set to return for Friday night at The Action Track and joining him will be Rico Abreu who will be racing at Sharon Speedway on Saturday night as well as he makes his way across the country on his current tour. So far Wagner's action has been somewhat limited due to some cold and rainy weather while Abreu has seen his season get off to an uneven start, there's evidence that points to his results taking an uptick as evidenced by a 9th place finish at Mansfield last Saturday.

Former Weekly Stars Look to Use Experience To Open Eyes

Former Lernerville champion Carl Bowser is following the All Stars in 2018 and could be in the mix for a good finish in familiar surroundings and he’ll be joined by tour mate John Garvin Jr who made a Lernerville appearance on opening night last Friday.  Former track champion Danny Holtgraver has had several memorable finishes in high profile touring series races with both the All Stars and World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint cars and will be looking to add another podium finish to his collection at Lernerville.

Locals to Look Out For

AJ Flick took the opening night win in the Peoples Gas DIRTcar Sprints and will be defending home turf on Friday night. The two time track champion left no doubt as he took command of the 25 lap feature after a mid race caution and never looked back, overcoming a stiff challenge from a strong running George Hobaugh en route to victory. Joining Flick from the home track will be Dan Shetler, Jack Sodeman Jr. and Sye Lynch whom could all be in the mix for a memorable night.
