3:30 PM: The Ultimate North East Late Models make their series debut this evening at Hagerstown Speedway with a $4,000 to win/$400 to start show to kickoff their 2018 campaign. Racing is slated to begin at 6:00 PM this evening. We will provide intermittent updates to this page so keep refreshing or checking back when you can. Our own Kyle Symons will be on the scene with twitter updates via @LiveDirtUpdates and TDN staff photographer Patrick Miller will be in attendance as well. Should be a fantastic night of racing.
Overview: The new Late Model series has several drivers looking to chase points this season including Gary Stuhler, Ryan Montgomery, Ross Robinson, Matt Cosner, Kyle Lee, Reese Masiello and perhaps a few others as well.
As far as tonight goes, Kyle Lee will be looking to defend home turf. The young pilot held off long time veteran Gary Stuhler last season to snag his first track championship. This will be the first time on the track for many in tonight's field. Among the favorites would have to be Stuhler, Jason Covert, Austin Hubbard, Jamie Lathroum, Dan Stone and Jared Miley, Kenny Moreland and Mason Zeigler. Of that group, Hubbard got a chance to shake down his car in Florida in Feburary as part of the Lucas Oil Late Model Series festivities at East Bay Raceway while Mason Zeigler has been participating on the Lucas Oil Series full time thus far in 2018.
Weather: As of now, there is 0% chance of rain and hourly forecasts show temperatures falling through the 50's to upper 40's as the night progresses.
