Lynch Is Ready For Another Huge Step Forward In 2018

When sitting down to talk to a third generation racer, especially one that comes from a successful racing family, it’s hard to contemplate the amount of pressure applied to the results. Sye Lynch is comfortable with that pressure.  “I put it all on myself to perform," said Lynch, son of the “Apollo Rocket” Ed Lynch Jr.  Young Sye reiterates the “pressure comes from within”. “When you are in equipment that is proven to be fast and you don’t win then you feel it’s got to be you."

Lynch started his sprint car career in the Lockhart Motorsport #58 - 360 Sprint Car at Mercer Raceway Park. When that opportunity went away he strapped into the McMillen Motorsports #5 at Lernerville Speedway for a half a season.  For the past two and a half seasons Sye has been focused on building and developing  Sye Lynch Racing. (SLR).

He knows the formula that it takes to be successful, and is in the midst of putting that knowledge to work. Knowing his famous dad sits at 236 career wins, young Sye got his first notch on the totem pole with a  break-through win in a 410 sprint car on September 9, 2017 at Sharon Speedway in a $3000 to win special.

“I felt a huge weight lifted off my shoulders," Lynch stated. “I knew I needed to get it done. I have fast equipment and I have all my t’s crosses and I’s dotted”. With that win Lynch explained what a learning experience it was. “At that moment it all paid off," Lynch explained.  Yes I can win in a 410 Sprint. With how I planned my career, that win needed to happen and it was the most satisfying feeling to that point in my career”.

Lynch was excited talking about the upcoming season, a year which may see him take another huge step forward in his development as a top 410 Sprint Car driver in the area.

“2018 is going to be a big year for SLR with a team goal to support the local home-front. The local tracks in the region such as Lernerville Speedway, Pittsburgh Pennsylvania's Motor Speedway and Sharon Speedway will be our main focus with some traveling sprinkled in. We will see how the season speaks to us."

Supporting the 2018 Racing effort along with SLR are marketing partners Mosites Motorsports, Dlubak Powder Coatings, J&J Chassis, Kistler Racing engines and Ultra-lite Brakes and negotiations are currently underway for potential partners.  “I feel this upcoming season for the Sprint Car division at Lernerville will be one of the most exciting in some years with all the competition.” Lynch's affection for “The Action track” stems from his families success at the Sarver Pa racing facility. Fans can also expect some new paint schemes in 2018.

Lynch wanted to make a point to “thank the fans, sponsors, and promoters as well as Noah and Zane on the crew for their hard work in helping him to keep taking steps forward.   "If it wasn’t for them all we wouldn’t be doing this sport we love. It’s important to stay humble in this sport."
