2017 Pennsylvania Super Late Model Power Rankings: Week 28

Hey there race fans, it's been two weeks since our last update, and that means it's time for me to do one of the final updates of the season. I'm a little bummed that racing season is just about over, as I'm sure most of us are. On the bright side, you get the rare chance to see the Lucas Oil Dirt Late Model Series here in Pennsylvania at PPMS Saturday. If you feel like catching one final race of the season, this would be the one you want to see. It's not the last race of the season, but it's certainly the biggest.

That said, let's talk about he last two weeks. Eight scoring races were contested in that time, all of them but one were a raised purse special, and that means raised points. So, a lot of points were scored in those 8 races. It has tightened up the top of the list quite a bit. Alex Ferre has cut Jeff Rine's lead down to 12 points, and Max Blair had a very solid couple of weeks and got himself solidly back into the top three.

Now let's go ahead and get to them rankings. A list format change is in order here. All those stars next to a guy's name means all the races they've won, but a few of the top ten have so many wins the stars all seem to run together. So I'm just going to add the win total in parenthesis next to their name from here on out. That's going to be a permanent change going into next year and beyond. It's just easier to read, ya know?

1. Jeff Rine (12 wins), 131 points. Jeff ran third this past Friday at Bedford.

2. Alex Ferree (10 wins), 119 points. Alex ran fifth last Friday, and third last Saturday at Eriez. He got the win this past Friday at Bedford.

3. Max Blair (7 wins), 86 points. Max ran second last Friday and got the win last Saturday at Eriez, and he ran second at MCR this past Saturday.

4. Coleby Frye (4 wins), 75 points. Coleby ran fifth this past Friday at Bedford.

5. Charlie Powell (8 wins), 71 points. Charlie did not manage to score any points this cycle.

6. Michael Lake (7 wins), 65 points. Michael got a third last Friday at Dog Hollow.

7. Jared Miley (5 wins), 63 points. Jared ran third last Friday and followed it up with a second last weekend at Eriez.

8. Dave Hess Jr. (4 wins), 55 points. Dave ran fourth this past Saturday at MCR.

9. Paul Kot (6 wins), 54 points. Paul went scoreless this cycle.

10. Dylan Yoder (1 win), 51 points. Dylan fan fourth this past Friday at Bedford.

10. Matt Cosner (3 wins), 51 points. Matt failed to score any points this cycle.

And that's the top ten for this cycle. See you in two weeks for the next installment
