| Shane Stewart's 2 wins propel him to No. 3 in our rankings |
After a couple of down weekends, sprint car racing picked up in the northeast region across all of Pennsylvania and Ohio. Altogether, eight events took place between the two bordering states from Thursday through Saturday. On top of those, 410 Sprints also were on the card at Hartford Speedway on Friday night and in California on Saturday for a King of the West series race.
It was Shane Stewart, who moves up one spot to occupy No. 3 in our rankings, captured a pair of World of Outlaws wins over the weekend at Hartford Speedway and Eldora Speedway. These wins are just the latest in his up-and-down season where the team has continually fought to find consistency. The Larson Marks team heads into the homestretch of the season where they'll look to pick up a few more wins and regain 5th in the World of Outlaws championship standings.
Logan Schuchart continued his surge towards the top of our poll with back-to-back second place finishes with the World of Outlaws at Eldora and Lernerville. Shark Racing now heads home to Williams Grove for the prestigious National Open where he'll look to build off his recent successes at one of his home tracks.
Craig Dollansky, who interestingly didn't make a start this past weekend, returns to the poll after just a one week hiatus. Joining him back in the poll after a one week absence is Bill Balog, who struggled mightily in his trip to Central PA where he competed at Williams Grove and Lincoln Speedway.
