Night one of full points racing in World of Outlaw Late Model, Lucas Oil Late Model, and ASCoC Sprints commenced Friday night amidst the chilly air over southern Georgia and central Florida. And when the dust settled, Steve Casebolt, Earl Pearson Jr, and Kerry Madsen found themselves in victory lane.
Screven:
Brandon Overton started on the pole of the WoO Late Model opener and alongside him, Steve Casebolt. The Indiana pilot took the lead and never looked back, collecting his first ever main event victory with the outlaws. It's hard to imagine, in all the years he's raced that it's never happened for him, but tonight he would not be denied. Behind him, last night's opening night winner of the unsanctioned $5,000 race, Josh Richards, Billy Moyer and 3rd starting Shane Clanton battled for the runner up spot but could not catch Overton who hung on to 2nd.

Golden Isles:
Once again, Jonathan Davenport found himself in the lead early and had to exit early as the big early surprise of February took place when young Ross Bailes took the lead in the 50 lap amain. The South Carolina driver looked to be in command, and in line for the first big victory of his super late model career, but suffered a flat tire with a handful of laps remaining. Earl Pearson Jr seized the opportunity and lead the final 8 laps to take his 29th career Lucas Oil Late Model Series victory.
"It is great to come back to Golden Isles, which is one of my favorite tracks," Pearson Jr said in victory lane. "To run here in front of all of these people, and then to win it, all I can say is, they saw a heck of a race. Once the five car [Bailes] had that flat, I knew I had a good chance to win."

Observations:
Scott Bloomquist has charged forward from mid pack twice in two nights to the podium. Last night's winner Eddie Carrier Jr finished last this evening. Keep an eye on Donald McIntosh, and commit his name to memory, you'll be hearing more of it as the days progress.
Bubba Raceway Park (ASCoC)
The Tony Stewart era of the All Star Sprints debuted tonight in Ocala. Steve Buckwalter Jr surprised the crowd by setting quick time among the surprisingly low car count of 22 sprints in attendance. Winter Heat at Cocopah standout Aaron Reutzel started on the pole in this one, flanked by Caleb Armstrong. And after 30 laps, WoO star and Australian Kerry Madsen found himself in victory lane by virtue of a last lap pass of Reutzel after having survived a strong challenge from Danny Smith.
