Marion Center, PA (August 6, 2017) 37 Super Late Models filled the pits on Saturday night for a very special night of racing at the historic 1/4 mile oval. And when the checkered flag fell, Andrew Wylie found himself in victory lane, scoring the biggest victory of his career to date.
The Golden Anniversary $5100 to win Super Late Model race made it's way to the green flag with Boswell, Pennsylvania's Doug Glessner and Wylie starting on the front row. And when action got underway, Wylie bolted to the lead. Meanwhile, the red hot H1 of Jared Miley began his charge forward. Approaching lapped traffic on the 12th circuit, 6th starting Miley got to within a car length of Wylie and on lap 13 the first of four caution flags waved. The first of which was brought out when Mercerburg Pa' s Andy Fries came to a stop.

The race's hard charger was Saxonburg, Pennsylvania's Alex Ferree made his way up to 4th from his 16th starting spot. Early pre-race favorite Devin Friese of Chambersburg, made contact on the ensuing restart collecting 5 cars for the race's second caution.
Single file restarts from there on out would be the norm, but out front, Wylie was never be seriously challenged the rest of the way en route to the biggest win of his young career collecting his 4th super late model win all time.
When asked what was going through his head on the restarts with veteran drivers like Miley, Glessner and Ferree he responded "I just hit my marks and kept the car straight. I really felt like I was holding those guys up."
Wylie drive his self built Wylie Chassis mount to the $5100 win and an automatic start for the Dog Hollow special that takes place on Sunday night.
Second finishing Miley added that his car was "too tight and needed to be more free" when asked what he needed to contend and pressure Wylie.
