2017 Pennsylvania Super Late Model Power Rankings: Week 21

Hey there race fans, it's Monday, so that means I'm here to provide the update the these here rankings.  Just about everybody got their scheduled programs in this week, with the exception being Lernerville on Friday, who rained out. Port Royal and Eriez had scheduled weeks off. However, Bradford Speedway hosted a super late model special this weekend, and that race was scored for this pole. Bedford Speedway also rained out Friday night, but they utilized a Sunday raindate and got the show in last night.

Jeff Rine, who is still very solidly in the top spot, also became the first driver to break the 100 point barrier this week. He increased the lead in the process, because his nearest rival, Alex Ferree, took a goose egg home this week. He was primed to get the win and perhaps narrow the lead at Marion Center Saturday night, but he got caught up in some other guys' mess and crashed out of the race, under caution no less.

This coming weekend sees the WoO coming into PA for shows at Port Royal and Eriez, so that means there are a lot of points up for grabs. It'll be interesting to see if any locals can grab some of those sweet specials points (and some  much better  dollars, too). I know I'll be rooting for them.

That said, let's get to the real reason you read these things each week.

1. Jeff Rine **********, 100 Points. Jeff ran third at Bedford Sunday.

2. Alex Ferree********, 81 points. Alex went scoreless this week.

3. Max Blair*****, 59 points.  Max also took an 0fer this week.

4. Coleby Frye**, 53 points. Coleby came home fifth at Selinsgrove Saturday night.

5. Michael Lake ********, 52 points. Michael got a fourth Friday at Dog Hollow and ws first under the checkers at Marion Center Saturday.

5. Charlie Powell******, 52 points. Charlie ran fourth Friday at Thunder Mountain, fifth Saturday at Hummingbird, and was third Sunday at Bradford.

7. Dave Hess Jr.****, 47 points. Dave had a scoreless weekend.

8. Doug Eck**, 46 points. Doug was third Friday at Thunder Mountain, and second at Bradford Sunday.

9. Chris Farrell*****, 41 points. Chris was second at Hummingbird Saturday.

9. Matt Cosner***, 41 points. Matt got the win Sunday at Bedford.

And that's the top ten for this week. Check back next Monday to see who scored what after this coming weekend's action. Speak of this coming weekend, the season is drawing to a close for most tracks in the next few weeks. You should get out and see some shows before they're done for the year!
