2016 DIRTcar Nationals Pick'em Recap

After a grueling 11-day stretch of racing at the Volusia Speedway Park in Barberville, FL, we can finally conclude our 3rd annual DIRTcar Nationals fantasy pick'em contest. This was one for the record books, as we had a record number of 152 competitors for this contest.

Our crowned champion was Jason Houck (@racefanjason), who has become a regular pick'em competitor in recent years. Jason proved to be the dominant force over the week-and-a-half-long stretch. He reached his lowest point following Sprint Night #2, when he occupied the 34th position. It was at that point that he took off. In shear domination, Jason was never out of the top 5 throughout the final seven nights, and he held the lead after four of the last five.

The winning driver combination was Dale Blaney, Greg Hodnett, Sammy Swindell, Jonathan Davenport, Josh Richards and Tim McCreadie. Jason amassed 809 points total out of a possible 1,067.

Rounding out the top 5 were our very own Josh Bayko (@JoshBayko), Mark Hunt, Chuck Haga (@potluck21117) and Devin Mahoney (@Devin41).
