On Tap; ASCoC and B.O.S.S Sprints invade Western PA.

Happy 4th of July weekend everyone! We love to celebrate our independence as a nation with dirt racing and beer, and our on tap editions feature a little of both!

So on tap this weekend we have a unique regional beer in season. Yuengling's Summer Wheat is a delightful blend of seasonal flavors with a banana, clove, citrus twist and not too much carbonation.  It's a 4.68 %ABV so you'll have to work hard to feel the effects, but odds are if you're drinking beer to get drunk you're pounding pedestrian favorites like Coors or Miller Lite!

Anyhow, this flavor will linger on the pallete and leave you feeling refreshed It doesn't come in cans that we know of so you'll have to keep it in the parking lot, but still, it's a great beer to pour into your favorite ale glass and sit on the porch with as you watch the lighning bugs and what not.   Wait a minute....this is a dirt racing website!!

On tap this weekend, you can celebrate our nation's independence by getting to the area tracks and checking out some great events.  If you're into some sprints, then you're in luck as the B.O.S.S Wingless Sprints and All Star Sprints invade the area this weekend.

B.O.S.S Wingless Sprints at Lernerville (Fri)& PPMS (Sat)

Mike Miller leads the standings coming into the weekend and he'll receive some stout competition from the local contingent which may include Brandon Spithaler, Jack Sodeman Jr, and Brandon Matus plus others. If you've never seen wingless sprints, do yourself a favor and see them this weekend. There's generally lots of passing and a completely different attitude in the corners, and sometimes greater amounts of wheel to wheel action. You won't be disappointed!

At Lernerville Friday July 3rd;

The sprints without wings are joined by the RUSH late models, RUSH sportsman modifieds and the highly competitive Lernerville sportsman stocks. It promises to be a great show, a fab four of a different type so to speak.

At PPMS Saturday July 4th:

Super Late Models, pro-crate late models, stocks and four cylinders join the sprints to provide a great time on the monster half mile. Should be a different show for the B.O.S.S. gang as they try to tame the wide, racy surface with very high speeds!

ASCoC Sprints at Mercer Raceway Park (Fri and Sat)

Greg Wilson comes into the weekend with a good bit of confidence following his Ohio Sprint Week championship, but the hottest driver is still one Dale Blaney. The current All Star points leader had the most wins in the mini series last week and will be looking to pad his stat total for 2015.  Chad Kemenah won the earlier tour date at Mercer in May and is more than capable of repeating.

The rest of the menu at Mercer features 358 modifieds, Outlaw Sprint Warriors (305's) and Stocks on both nights, so pick one or both nights and go, it's primed to be a great weekend at Mercer.

We'll be posting our normal Weekend Scoreboard featuring our famous "scattered, covered and smothered" results from all over the north east and mid atlantic, so keep it tuned here for updates all weekend long!  Have a great weekend folks, and stay DIRTy
