The finest sprint cars in the world invade the scene Tuesday July 15 at Lernerville Speedway for the Don Martin Memorial Silver Cup.
This is the 23rd running of the event which changed format in 2009 to it's current state, offers twin 30 lap features with a separate bonus to the driver that achieves the best average finish in the two main events.
Aside from the touring members of the World of Outlaws, fans can expect a strong contingent of Ohio and Pennsylvania competitors and a few other stout names currently chasing the annual "Month of Money" in the series schedule which features some of the most lucrative events of the season.

Setting the Table:
The Outlaws:
Coming into this one, Donny Schatz has a somewhat comfortable lead over second place driver and last year's WoO champion Daryn Pittman. But the hottest driver in the outlaw stable at this time is Kerry Madsen who's been tough in recent action, and then went to another level this past weekend at Eldora, winning the 31st running of the Kings Royal. King Kerry carries quite a lot of momentum into this one and it'll be interesting to see if he can translate it into success Tuesday night.
Paul McMahan held his own at Eldora this weekend and took the checkered flag at Limaland last week in the Brad Doty Classic. A win in either feature shouldn't surprise anybody. David Gravel appears to be coming out of a slight performance dip and looked impressive with a quick time at Limaland and a strong performance at Eldora where he sat on the pole for the King's Royal.
And last but not least, it will be Steve Kinser's final Silver Cup performance in his illustrious career. There'll be surprise in store for the "King" this Tuesday night. You can read more about it here via Lernerville PR director Eric Westendorf's report. Lernerville Speedway to Salute the King
ASCoC and PA Contenders:
Two names that immediately come to mind are the "Steel City Outlaw" Tim Shaffer and the "Low Rider" Dale Blaney. Shaffer's won it twice, and came home 2nd in the Knight Before the King's Royal Friday night at Eldora, while Blaney is coming off an almost impossible 4 win Ohio Sprint Speedweek performance that earned driver of the week honors here at TDN.
Danny Holtgraver can't be counted out for a win either, the former Lernerville track champion has had a podium performance in a Silver Cup feature before and knows the place like the back of his hand. Ed Lynch pulled off the miracle in the 2002 Silver Cup and might just have one more left in him while previous winner Stevie Smith is always tough.
Weather:
Our own weather guru Trever Steele has taken a look into his crystal ball and come up with the following concerning the Silver Cup forecast:
"Decreasing clouds in the afternoon with cool temps. Highs low to mid 70s; evening temps into the low 60s."
