Mark Dobmeier’s awesome week
If you’re a regular at River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks, ND, you’ll know that local sprint car Driver Mark Dobmeier, is a very good sprint car driver. In my opinion, he's one of the best in the upper Midwest. When the Senske and Sons, Dahlstrom Motors, Forx Raditor, Lunstra Motorsports number 13 sprint car takes the track at the famed 3/10 mile Bullring, he’s the driver to beat.
Dobmeier has been known to give the nation’s best sprint car drivers a run for their money, too.
Dynamite Dobmeier has three career World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series wins (2006, 2012 and 2014). Also, during the 2011 Knoxville Nationals, he claimed a night two feature win.
This past week, Dobmeier won three 410 sprint car races in three consecutive nights. First, he won the World of Outlaws Sprint car feature at Husets Speed, then followed it up with another win again on Thursday night at Husets Speedway. Friday night, he won at River Cities Speedway. With his three feature wins last week, Dobmeier now has six feature wins this season.
Dobmeier had this to say after he beat Five-Time WoO champion Donny Schatz to win his third WoO race of his career.
“That cheer right there says it all!” Dobmeier said. “I can’t thank my team enough. They always stick behind us. They always work harder and harder. I’ll tell you what, I gave 110 percent in that race.” “We’ve been very strong at this track. I’d say we’ve been the fastest car out there for the last two weeks. We had a blown motor and I was going for it for the lead last week, just the other night, pulled a wheelie and got in a tangle up. But that’s the fine line of pushing the edge all the time. That could have been the same thing right there but we were able to tame her down and keep her to the win.
Tonight, Dobmeier has his sights set on a Mid-Season Championship at River Cities Speedway. Incidentally, you can watch tonight's races by logging on to SpeedShiftTV.com tonight at 7:30 p.m. CST to watch the NOSA 410. Programing note: Tonight, there will be a double sprint car features.
