World of Outlaws Invade River Cities Speedway

Tonight, the STP World of Outlaws Sprint Car series invades River Cities Speedway. Five-time World of Outlaws Champion Donny Schatz (Fargo, ND), leads the Outlaws on the famed high-banked 3/10 mile dirt oval known as “The Bullring” .

Schatz is the current WoO points leader, and leads Daryn Pittman by six points.

While Schatz might be the current points leader, he isn't paying attention to the standings all that much.

“We’ve won championships before,” he said. “We know how to win them. It’s all about winning races day in and day out. … Most important part is just keep going in the right direction and focus on the problem areas.” (Wayne Nelson, Grand Forks Herald)

Since 2007, there has been 13 WoO A-Features at River Cities Speedway, Donny Schatz and Craig Dollanksy lead the pack with three wins each. Dollansky is not racing full-time with WoO this season, and is a regular at Knoxville Raceway and Huset’s Speedway.

Tonight, Donny Schatz will be doing double duty. Schatz will be racing his sprint car as well as his NLRA Late Model. Last August, the Fargo, ND native wooed the crowd as he won both the sprint car feature and the late model feature.
