The 2018 Pennsylvania Super Late Model Power Rankings: Week 3

Heu there race fans, It's Monday. so time to update the power ranking I keep for super late model racing in my home state of Pennsylvania. Still early in the season so there isn't a ton of points being scored yet, but we did get more than one super late show in this weekend. Bedford ran a regular show for their season opener on Friday, and Port Royal ran one of the first of their Moonshine Camo Rt. 35 series events.

Most of the rest of the late model tracks in the state get their seasons underway over the course of the next two weeks, so that should finally liven this column up some.

Anyways, let's go ahead an update the rankings, where I have a top ten for the first time this season!

1. Jeff Rine**, 18 points. Jeff ran second Friday at Bedford, and was victorious Saturday at Port Royal.

2. Andy Haus, 14 points. Andy was second at the stripe a Port Royal Saturday.

3. Coleby Frye, 10 points. Coleby had a scoreless weekend.

4. Dylan Yoder*, 9 points. Dylan ran fourth at Port Royal Saturday.

5. Dave Troutman*, 5 points. Dave took home the checkers at Bedford Friday.

5. Gene Knaub, 5 points. Gene cam home third at Port Royal Saturday.

7. Trent Brennman, 4 points. Trent took an 0fer this week.

8. Alex Ferree, 3 points. Alex ran fifth at Port Royal Saturday.

8. Dan Angellichio, 3 points. Dan was third under the checkers at Bedford Friday.

8. Tim Smith, 3 points. Tim want scoreless this week.

And that's the top ten guys at the top of my spreadsheet this week. This coming weekend's forcast looks decent, so hopefully everybody with a show scheduled gets their's in.

If you're a late model fan, and I suspect you are if you're reading this, one of the area's biggest late model shows takes place this Friday just over the Ohio border at Sharon Speedway when the Lucas series comes to town. You should go check it out. Sharon is an amazing facility and generally a very racy track. you won't be disappointed.

See ya next Monday.
